About SPOI

SPOI is a volunteer-run mentorship program for Indian students preparing for the Indian Computing Olympiads comprising of Zonal Computing Olympiad (ZCO), Zonal Informatics Olympiad (ZIO), the Indian National Olympiad in Informatics (INOI), and the IOI Training Camp (IOITC). It started in July 2024, founded by Samik Goyal, Avighna Chhatrapati, and Oviyan Gandhi.

The main program runs on Discord. Mock contests are conducted on our own judge. We also curate problem sets and other online resources for our members. Mentors provide doubt-solving support and guidance.

Of the eleven Gold medalists at INOI 2025, nine had trained with SPOI, along with fifteen of the nineteen Silver medalists and twenty-one of the thirty Bronze medalists. Twenty-eight of the thirty-four students selected for IOITC that year came through the program.

The mentorship itself is completely free, along with the Resources site and the oi-checklist. We did conduct a paid ZCO course last year. However, there are no plans to continue that.
